Fanshawe ace misses Lingfield

Unscrupulous will miss Saturday’s totesport Victoria Cup at Lingfield after suffering a slight setback.

The James Fanshawe-trained six-year-old was likely to be well-fancied for the seven-furlong race after winning the Buckingham Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot last season.

However, a stable spokeswoman said: “He will not be running. He has just knocked himself and requires a few days off.”
