Backlash success

Connections of Backlash were successful today in their appeal over the amended result controversy at Wolverhampton on Saturday.

The Tony Carroll-trained four-year-old initially dead-heated for third, but when first-past-the-post Iamback was demoted, the local stewards only promoted the other dead-heater Gem Bien to second, incorrectly leaving Backlash’s placing unaltered.
