Gyles Parkin was today named as the sixth jockey to be arrested as part of the on-going investigation by City Of London Police into alleged race-fixing.

Gyles Parkin was today named as the sixth jockey to be arrested as part of the on-going investigation by City Of London Police into alleged race-fixing.

The rider, who is 32 today, was arrested in the Scarborough area early this morning and is still in custody.

A police statement confirmed: “Today the City of London Police arrested another jockey in connection with the on-going horse racing corruption investigation.

“The arrested man is still in custody and the investigation continues.”
