'Hopeful' signs at Ludlow

A second inspection at Ludlow has left clerk of the course Bob Davies 'very hopeful' that racing will take place, although he will check conditions again at 11.30am.

“We are not quite raceable yet but we are very hopeful,” he said. “The sun is out and as long as the weather does not deteriorate we should be fine.”

Davies checked the track at 7.30am but that inspection proved inconclusive.
