130 horses put forward for Grand National

All of the leading fancies remain in the John Smith’s Grand National following the first forfeit stage.

All of the leading fancies remain in the John Smith’s Grand National following the first forfeit stage.

A total of 130 horses go forward, including 30 from Ireland and four from France.

Amberleigh House, Clan Royal and Lord Atterbury, the first three horses home in 2004, are all still on course for this year’s renewal at Aintree on April 9, along with Bindaree, the winner in 2002, and the 2003 Irish victor Monty’s Pass.

The following 22 horses were taken out: One Knight, Flagship Uberalles, Batman Senora, Macs Gildoran, Mondial Jack, Nearly A Moose, Ryalux, Desailly, Granit D’Estruval, Drombeag, Knock Knock, Haut De Gamme, Halexy, Ardent Scout, Lincam, Just In Time, Tipsy Mouse, Spinofski, Solar System, Historg, Lanmire Glen, King On The Run.
