Paul Nicholls gave a glowing report on his Irish Independent Arkle Trophy favourite Kauto Star today.

The ex-French five-year-old put up a scintillating display on his debut for the Ditcheat trainer at Newbury last week, slamming former smart hurdler Foreman by fully nine lengths.
