Three released in UK race-fixing probe
Trainer Alan Berry, jockey Paul Bradley and farrier Steve O’Sullivan were released on bail last night after the latest move in the on-going police investigation into allegations of race-fixing.
It is understood they were questioned by City of London Police, who are in charge of the inquiry, on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud. They will reappear in April.
They were detained at the trainer’s Moss Side stables at Cockerham, near Lancaster, at around 7am yesterday morning.
The developments bring the total number of arrests in the case to 25.
Sixteen people, including former champion jockey Kieren Fallon, were arrested and later bailed in September. A further six people were arrested and bailed in October.
