Champion Hurdle winner Hardy Eustace will miss the Ballymore Properties Hatton’s Grace Hurdle at Fairyhouse on Sunday after failing to scope clean today.

The seven-year-old has not been out since defeating old adversary Rooster Booster again in the Punchestown Champion Hurdle in late April.

“He doesn’t run, because he didn’t scope clean,” said trainer Dessie Hughes.

“We will have to see with him now, there is a race at Navan on the 12th for him (Giltspur Scientific Hurdle), or it will be Leopardstown at Christmas (December Festival Hurdle).”
