McGrath bags treble
Richard McGrath enjoyed a profitable afternoon when heading north over the border and riding a 194-1 treble at Perth.
The jockey got proceedings off to a winning start when booting home 7-1 shot Fantastico in the opening Edward Massie Brown Classic Mares’ Only Maiden Hurdle, overturning the odds-on Muckle Flugga.
Further success came his way on Monty’s Quest (11-2) in the Azure Handicap Chase and he came with a late challenge on favourite Jallastep (11-4) to land the Bet With The Dewhurst Ring Bookmakers Novices’ Handicap Chase.
