Maximum field declared for Epsom 'Dash'
A maximum field of 20 has been assembled for the Vodafone ‘Dash’ at Epsom on Saturday.
The Peter Savill-owned Raccoon, who bids for a hat-trick of Saturday afternoon sprints, is among the declared runners for the five-furlong contest.
The four-year-old scored in a competitive event at Haydock two weeks ago before seeing off Corridor Creeper, who reopposes on Saturday, in the Victor Chandler Scottish Sprint Cup last weekend.
Seafield Towers, Whitbarrow, Magic Glade and Ptarmigan Ridge all contested the same race at Musselburgh and will feature again on Saturday.
Frankie Dettori will ride Cape Royal for Lynda Ramsden, while Michael Kinane partners Gerard Butler’s consistent Boston Lodge.
David Nicholls is going all out to land the first prize with three entries in Watching, Brave Burt and Plateau, with others of note being Jamie Spencer’s mount Tychy and recent York third Henry Hall.
Green Manalishi and Madrasee are the two reserves, but will only take their chance should any of the main 20 be withdrawn by 9.30am tomorrow.
