Vodafone Derby favourite Yeats is having daily physiotherapy on a muscle problem ahead of Saturday’s big race.

The Sadler’s Wells colt, winner of the Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial Stakes, was reported to be stiff by trainer Aidan O’Brien after working at Ballydoyle on May 21.

Yeats has since been treated regularly by physiotherapist Liz Kent, who has also attended Alamshar and Beef Or Salmon, and O’Brien is happy with his charge’s condition.

He told the Racing Post: “Liz has been treating Yeats every day since he tweaked a muscle and it’s a case of so far so good.”

Both William Hill and Totesport now have Yeats as the 11-4 joint favourite with Snow Ridge for the Classic.
