Jockeys unhurt in Folkestone fall
Seb Sanders and Simon Whitworth escaped without serious injury when two horses came down in the final race at Folkestone yesterday.
Bansha Bru, the mount of Sanders, fell when disputing the lead coming off the final bend, bringing down the Whitworth-ridden Good Article. Both jockeys were able to walk away.
Bansha Bru had to be put down after the fall, in the second division of the extended nine-furlong Cote D’Opale Median Auction Maiden Stakes.
Jimmy Quinn escaped with bruising after an incident in the starting stalls after which his mount Frangipani was withdrawn.
