Richard Mullen faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines after breaking his wrist in a fall at Leicester on Saturday.

The jockey was taken to Leicester Royal Infirmary for X-rays on his wrist after his mount Hatch A Plan stumbled and unseated him three furlongs out in the Perfick Handicap.

“He got home late last night. He’s broken his wrist and it’s in plaster and they’ve said six weeks,” his agent Gareth Owen said today.
