Timbera set to miss Grand National

Timbera, ante-post favourite for the Martell Cognac Grand National on Saturday, is likely to miss the Aintree spectacular.

“He didn’t scope clean this morning, so it’s highly unlikely we’ll get him there,” trainer Dessie Hughes said today.

“We always scope them before a big race just to make sure. It’s dreadful.”
