Trainers pleased with festival hopes
Henry Daly was pleased with the work of his Cheltenham Festival hopes at Bangor today.
Haut Cercy, who was ridden by Robert Thornton and runs in the William Hill National Hunt Handicap Chase, Jakari under Richard Johnson and is on course for the Mildmay Of Flete Challenge Cup, and the Mark Bradburne-ridden Palarshan, who will bid for a second successive victory in the Grand Annual Chase, were all in action.
After watching them work Daly said: “It wasn’t anything serious. We just brought them for a day out and we’ll see how we go from here.”
Jonjo O’Neill worked Clan Royal (Liam Cooper), Mini Sensation (Tom Siddall) and Thyne For Intersky (Elliott Cooper) over two miles.
The Jackdaws Castle trainer said: “They seem to be all right.
“Clan Royal goes to Aintree for the National, Mini Sensation will run in the Midlands Grand National the Saturday after Cheltenham and Thyne For Intersky, who has won two bumpers already, will hopefully win a third at Liverpool.”
