Oliver Carter is dreaming of Cheltenham glory after Venn Ottery opened his account at the 24th attempt in a controversial race for the Manny Bernstein Hedging For Bookmakers Maiden Chase at Leicester yesterday.

It was Paul Nicholls’s 100th winner of the season and the nine-year-old has improved in leaps and bounds since joining the leading trainer from owner Carter’s yard in the last eight weeks.
