Joss Naylor to miss Welsh National
Jonjo O'Neill's horse Joss Naylor will miss tomorrow’s Coral Welsh National at Chepstow due to illness.
Jonjo O’Neill’s eight-year-old, who finished second in the Hennessy Cognac Gold Cup on his latest start, will bypass the event for which he was as short as 6-1.
Joss Naylor is suffering from flu as is fellow stable star Keen Leader who has been ruled out of a crack at the Ericsson Chase at Leopardstown on Sunday.
O’Neill told the Racing Post: “He’s got a bit of flu like Keen Leader and there’s no point in running them when they’re like that.
“These things happen and you’ve just got to give them time; it’s all part of racing.”
