Trainer Willie Mullins could be double-handed in the Ericsson Chase at Leopardstown a week on Sunday.

Mullins’ stable star Florida Pearl could now line up for the race after recovering from an autumn setback quicker than expected.

The 11-year-old could face Beef Or Salmon, Keen Leader and possibly Best Mate as well as stablemate Alexander Banquet, who missed all of last season, in the three-mile event.

Mullins told the Racing Post: “The Ericsson is looking a lot more likely than it was a few weeks ago.

“Florida Pearl is coming along well and is much better in himself than we expected after his problem.

“Alexander Banquet is also progressing well and if I’m happy with him this time next week, he too could make the Ericsson line-up.”
