Norton inquiry tomorrow
A disciplinary hearing into a failed drugs test taken by jockey Francis Norton will take place at 11am tomorrow at Britain's Jockey Club headquarters.
Norton, who failed the test on September 26, 2002, has claimed that the positive result was caused by a herbal tea drink.
His sample was found to contain benzoylecgonine, a diagnostic metabolite of cocaine, which is a banned substance.
Due to legal procedures involving the Jockey Club and the rider’s legal team, it had not been possible to set a date for the hearing until now.
