Islington wins Breeders' Filly & Mare

Islington, trained by Michael Stoute and ridden by Kieren Fallon, won the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf.

Islington came with a storming run under Kieren Fallon to take the honours in the Filly & Mare Turf.

The champion jockey was at his brilliant best on the Michael Stoute-trained four-year-old and he always looked likely to reel in O’Brien’s L’Ancresse close home.

O’Brien’s Yesterday completed a famous one-two-three for the Europeans.
