Kieren Fallon will miss Cambridgeshire day at Newmarket on Saturday after his appeal against a one-day suspension proved in vain at the Jockey Club this morning.

The champion jockey picked up a one-day ban for careless riding at Pontefract last week and will now miss the ride on Akshar in the big handicap at Headquarters.
