Williamson on sidelines after fall
Norman Williamson has been stood down until Monday after taking a heavy fall at Listowel yesterday.
The rider parted company with Active Member in the Kerry Petroleum Handicap Chase before being stood on by on of the following runners.
Dr Walter Halley of the Irish Turf Club said: “He has severe bruising to his lower back and bruising to his left kidney.”
Meanwhile, trainer Noel Meade has confirmed that Paul Carberry will return from his injury layoff at the weekend.
He said: “He rode out yesterday morning and this morning. He hopes to be back at the weekend, probably on Saturday.”
