2002 English St. Leger winner confirmed for Irish equivalent

Bollin Eric has been confirmed a definite starter for Saturday's Group 1 Irish Field St Leger by trainer Tim Easterby.

Last season's Doncaster St Leger winner Bollin Eric has been confirmed a definite starter for Saturday's Group 1 Irish Field St Leger by English-based trainer Tim Easterby.

He is likely to face 6 rivals in the €300,000 classic and will be accompanied to the Curragh by stable companion Fayr Jag who will run in the Group 3 Ridgewood Pearl Stakes on the same afternoon.

Both horses will be partnered by Kevin Darley. Also on course for the Ridgewood Pearl Stakes is the Amanda Perrett trained Polar Way and Avonbridge trained by Roger Charlton.

Chorist has been given the green light to run in Sunday's Group 3 Irish National Stud Blandford Stakes.

"The horse definitely goes for the race and we are currently finalising her travel arrangements," said a spokesperson for trainer William Haggis.

John Gosden, who is currently at the Keeneland Sales in the USA, has both Place Rouge and Felicity in the Group 3 contest.

The intention at the moment is to run one or the other, but a final decision will not be taken until tomorrow morning", said a spokesperson for the yard.

No decision has been made by the Godolphin team where Hi Dubai or Mezzo Soprano will run in the €110,000 contest.

The ground is currently "good all round" according to racecourse manager Paul Hensey.

"We had 4mm of rain overnight and the ground is perfect on both the round and straight track," Hensy said.
