Michael Stoute's Auditorium has been supplemented to the field for the Champagne Stakes at Doncaster on Friday.

The addition of the Royal Applause colt, an impressive winner of his latest start in Listed company at Ripon, means a total of 21 horses are in the Group Two contest for two-year-olds at the confirmation stage.

Mark Johnston and Aidan O'Brien have enjoyed a couple of head-to-heads with their respective juvenile strings already this season and look set to cross swords again.

Johnston will field his Goodwood victor Lucky Story, while O'Brien has as many as seven youngsters to choose from.

They include Lucky Story's Vintage Stakes victim The Mighty Tiger, as well as Celtic Cat, Colossus, Newton, Old Deuteronomy, Tumblebrutus and Tycoon.

Barry Hills is represented by the unbeaten Haafhd, who looked something special when landing the Washington Singer at Newbury, and Acomb Stakes fifth Mutawaffer.
