Strong English challenge at Leopardstown

Leopardstown stages a seven-race card on Saturday evening with the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Brownstown Stakes (Group 3) being the feature event.

This race has attracted nine runners and there are two English runners with Rae Guest's Lady Lindsay and Michael Bell's Irresistible launching a twin-pronged challenge.

Lady Lindsay has been lightly raced this season with only one outing to her credit but on last season's form she should go close while if Irresistible can reproduce her second placing to the flying Airwave last September she would command great respect.

Meanwhile the Betfair Jockeys Challenge adds spice to an interesting seven-race card at Limerick on Saturday evening.

With riders of the calibre of Paul Carberry, Ruby Walsh, and Barry Geraghty riding for the home team and Jim Culloty, Richard Johnson and Carl Llewellyn riding for the English team, a keen battle is anticipated over the four races.
