Tony McCoy expects to be released from hospital today as he faces up to the prospect of “five or six weeks” on the sidelines.

The champion jockey was taken to Worcester Royal Hospital on Wednesday after his mount Kymberlya slipped on the final bend of the Rose Hill School Handicap Hurdle when still in contention.
