Darryll Holland kept in touch with champion jockey Kieren Fallon in the race for the title with a wide-margin double at Beverley.

Victories on nine-length winner Zero Tolerance and seven-length scorer Anglo Saxon took his tally for the year to 57, but to 45 as far as the championship is concerned, keeping him only single figures behind Fallon.
