Best Mate has been supported to complete a Tote Cheltenham Gold Cup hat-trick next year by a Ladbrokes punter in Ireland.

“We have just laid a €17,000 cash bet in one of our shops in Ireland for Best Mate to win next year’s Gold Cup at 2-1. We now trade 7-4,” said spokesman Balthazar Fabricius.
