Irish strike again at Cheltenham

The Irish struck again in the William Hill National Hunt Handicap Chase with Youlneverwalkalone.

Sporting the famous green and orange colours of JP McManus, the 7/1 shot fought out a duel from the last before beating 10/1 fancy Haut Cercy by three-quarters of a length.

The 5/1 favourite Ad Hoc had every chance but was beaten nine lengths into third with 20/1 outsider Maximise, always prominent before plugging on for fourth.

Champion jockey Tony McCoy, who had already suffered two falls, gave up his rides for the rest of the day and then saw replacement Tom Scudamore crash to the turf on Iznogoud halfway round.
