Lad delights in Leopardstown spin
Limestone Lad remains on course for the Bonusprint Stayers’ Hurdle after he delighted connections when working after racing at Leopardstown.
The ever-popular 11-year-old has been as good, if not better, than ever this season but missed an intended outing at Navan last month because of coughing.
He worked under Philip Carberry over a mile and six on the flat in company with a couple of Charlie Swan’s horses and looked on great terms with himself as he bowled along in front.
“That was just what I wanted, I couldn’t be happier with the horse,” said Michael Bowe, son and assistant to trainer James, afterwards.
“He needed that because he’s carrying a bit of condition.
“It will bring him on a ton and he can only improve for the day out.”
