Cheltenham Festival regular Florida Pearl could bypass this year’s renewal after failing to shine in the Hennessy Cognac Gold Cup at Leopardstown.

Willie Mullins’ 11-year-old has run at each of the last five Festivals, winning the bumper in 1997, the Royal & SunAlliance Chase in 1998 and twice finishing placed in the Tote Cheltenham Gold Cup in 1999 and 2000.
