Leopardstown races off due to flooding

Racing at Leopardstown today was called off when officials found the track to be waterlogged following heavy overnight rain.

After a 7am inspection racecourse manager Tom Burke said: “We’re off unfortunately. Racing is cancelled due to waterlogging. We’ve had 16 millimetres of rain overnight and there is more to come in the next few hours as well.”
