Aidan O’Brien’s Alberto Giacometti pipped John Gosden’s Summerland in the Group One Criterium de Saint-Cloud in Paris today.

Summerland was prominent throughout in the mile and a quarter two-year-old event, as Alberto Giacometti (Michael Kinane), in marked contrast, languished towards the rear.
