Spencer booked for Hong Kong stint
Jamie Spencer is set to ride in Hong Kong over the winter, it was revealed today.
The young Irishman, currently serving a suspension for whip offences, will join Christophe Soumillon, Andreas Suborics and Pat Smullen in the former colony for a three-month stint beginning in December.
“He was in Dubai last winter and he thought he’d just have a look round Hong Kong,” Spencer’s agent Ray Cochrane explained. “The racing out there will do his experience the world of good.”
Spencer, enjoying his best season with 78 winners, has never ridden in Hong Kong before.
