Gossamer has Newmarket challenge
Irish 1000 Guineas winner Gossamer is among 48 entries for the Group Two Victor Chandler Challenge Stakes at Newmarket on October 19.
The Luca Cumani-trained filly missed her intended engagement in last Saturday‘s Queen Elizabeth II Stakes as the ground was too firm, but she could step back down to seven furlongs at Headquarters.
Her possible rivals include Golden Jubilee Stakes winner Malhub, the Gerard Butler-trained Nayyir and Musidora Stakes runner up Spinnette.
Aidan O‘Brien has French 2000 Guineas winner Landseer among his possible contenders while Prix Maurice de Gheest winner May Ball is another high class entry.
