Frankie Dettori was vindicated at a Jockey Club inquiry today.

He was found not guilty by the disciplinary committee who were looking into whether he had failed to take all possible measures to give Lobos the best chance of winning at Newmarket in a maiden race June.

But the Italian was cautioned for failing to ride the three-year-old - whom he claimed had gone lame - out for 10th place.

Trainer Ed Dunlop was also found not to be in breach of the rules over the instructions he gave Dettori before the race.

However, he was fined £240 (€376) under instruction H14 for failing to tell the Jockey Club that Lobos had finished lame.
