Shararah can put Dunlop back on track
Ed Dunlop can bounce back at Yarmouth tomorrow.
The trainer is having a desperate time of it this season but the tide has to turn some time and Shararah can put a smile back on her handler’s face in the EBF Carlsberg Lager Fillies’ Conditions Stakes.
His filly has not been seen since making a winning reappearance in a six-furlong contest at Pontefract in May, when she looked a really useful prospect in slamming Bollin Edward by five lengths.
That was not the greatest event in the world but she showed no signs of stopping and should have no trouble with the step up to seven furlongs here.
Night Prospector was most unlucky to come up against subsequent Coventry Stakes fourth Coconut Penang on his debut.
He only succumbed to the winner inside the final furlong and definitely looks up to winning an ordinary Britannia Pier Theatre Summer Season Maiden Stakes.
Henri Martin has progressed with his two career outings and can make it third time lucky in the opening EBF Maiden Stakes at Lingfield.
On the same card E Minor is the one to beat in the Besso Handicap.
Richard Hills could well ride a double on Kempton’s evening card.
He certainly has every chance of collecting the feature Tote Exacta Stakes on Shafeeq, who is developing into a useful middle-distance performer.
His mount won a maiden at Brighton in May and has done well in handicaps since, running a good second at Newmarket last time out in a better race than this.
Hills can also collect the Mowlems Maiden Stakes on Ishtak, a 500,000-guinea filly who has shown fair form to make the frame in each of her two starts to date.
