Racing: The Bunny almost Boils over but wins Irish National

The Bunny Boiler, trained by Noel Meade and ridden by conditional jockey Ross Geraghty, proved a brave winner of the Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse.

The 12-1 shot managed to hang on for the win despite making a hash of the last fence and nearly falling.

Timbera had looked to be the likely winner after coming up cruising two fences from home but he took a crashing fall to leave The Bunny Boiler and eventual second Give Over to dispute the finish.

Northern Sound, who cut out most of the early running, filled third place but Tote Cheltenham Gold Cup second Commanche Court was somewhat of a disappointment and did not feature in the shake-up.
