Today's Tips: Monarch can make amends in maiden at Gowran Park

Unlucky when narrowly beaten in Killarney last week, Monarch will be expected to make amends in the opening Irish Stallion Farms Maiden in Gowran Park tonight.

This Aidan O’Brien-trained Galileo colt started favourite for his debut in Limerick last month and, having raced prominently, tired late before finishing third to Maneen, successful off a mark of 89 in a three-year-old handicap at the Curragh on Sunday.

Monarch was sent off an uneasy favourite for a mile maiden in Killarney last week.
