Boy set for Cesarewitch
Pat Fahyâs smart dual-purpose performer was clear second best behind Dermot Weldâs subsequent Listed scorer Silwana in a valuable handicap recently.
The Irish Cesarewitch is a possible next port of call for the six-year-old, who had won a two-mile handicap at the Curragh on his previous start.
âThe ground was maybe a bit drier at Leopardstown and it was a tighter track, but he ran very well and I was extremely pleased with him,â Fahy said.
âI was delighted to see the winner (Silwana) come out and win a Listed race next time. It was real good form.
âItâs just lovely Western Boy has proved himself a real good horse like we thought he was.
âIt depends now whatâs coming up. The Cesarewitch is there and he will probably go there, but weâll see how he is.â
