Argentero can book his ticket for Royal Ascot

Impressive on his debut over course and distance last month, Argentero will be expected to book his ticket to Royal Ascot by winning tonight’s Fishery Lane 2-Y-0 Race in Naas.

Trainer Ger Lyons won this event with subsequent Coventry Stakes runner-up Cappella Sansevero last year. And, in Argentero, he appears to have another contender for next month’s high-profile meeting.

Colin Keane extricated Argentero from a pocket at the furlong-pole on his debut and the son of Zoffany soon forged clear to beat Touch Of Frost by three and a quarter lengths.
