Denis Prendergastand and Kevin Power complete point-to-point double

Handler Denis Prendergast and rider Kevin Power were in splendid form at yesterday’s well-attended Inch point-to-point fixture, run under the auspices of the Killeagh Harriers at Ballyanthony, as they combined to record a double.

The pair got off the mark when Icing On The Cake (4/1) destroyed the opposition in the five-year-old geldings’ maiden, the race that attracted the biggest field of the day in 11 runners.

Icing On The Cake, who still held an eight-length advantage when falling three out on his career debut in Hard To Call’s Horse And Jockey maiden last month, led from the third fence and he jumped superbly in the main apart from blundering at the fourth last.
