Neptune Investments Novices Hurdle: The strength of the Willie Mullins novice brigade is again in evidence and his Nichols Canyon pips stable companion Outlander for favouritism. Both have strong claims, but Tell Us More may be forgiven his defeat on his most recent outing, and is also a player.

Dermot Weld’s Windsor Park caught the eye last time out, and is likely to improve for better ground. He has solid each-way claims.

Best of the Irish: Outlander

Alternative: Nichols Canyon

RSA Chase

Don Poli was an easy winner of the Conditional Jockeys’ race at this meeting in 2014 and has been very impressive in his two runs over fences. He looks a natural chaser, and is a very strong favourite here.

Adriana Des Mottes must improve on previous form to figure, a comment which also applies to Apache Jack. Wounded Warrior is a strong-staying sort, who could reach the frame.

Best of the Irish: Don Poli

Alternative: Wounded Warrior

Coral Cup

Taglietelle has been in great form and could be progressive enough to have a say, while the Tony Martin-trained Marinero, who was third behind Supreme Novices’ Hurdle winner Douvan on his penultimate start, could prove very well treated.

Best of the Irish: Marinero

Alternative: Taglietelle

Champion Chase

Question marks over most of the runners, but Willie Mullins’ Champagne Fever has been popular in the betting. He has a good record at the Festival and should make a bold bid.

Henry De Bromhead’s Special Tiara was sixth in this race last year, but arrives in better form this time, and could go well at a big price. Former winner Sizing Europe has plenty to do back at this level.

Best of the Irish: Champagne Fever

Alternative: Special Tiara

Glenfarclas Cross Country Chase

Enda Bolger relies on Quantitativeeasing, who has decent course form. Uncle Junior isn’t getting any better at 14 years of age, but continues to run well, while Ipsos Du Berlais, runner-up in the Paddy Power Handicap Chase at Leopardstown in 2013, ran quite well over the banks last time, and should improve for that experience. Willie Mullins runs three, the best of which could be veteran Uncle Junior.

Best of the Irish: Ipsos Du Berlais

Alternative: Quantitativeeasing

Fred Winter Juvenile Hurdle

Hostile Fire was useful on the Flat for Ed de Giles, and has made a bright start to his career over hurdles for Gordon Elliott. He looks potentially well treated. He had Dermot Weld’s Zafayan behind when winning at the third time of asking.

Buiseness Sivola has been somewhat disappointing but it’s too soon to write him off, while Ross O’Sullivan’s Dai Bando may appreciate the return to better ground.

Best of the Irish: Hostile Fire

Alternative: Buiseness Sivola

Champion Bumper

Bordini looks marginally the best of the Mullins team. He’s unbeaten in two outings since arriving in Ireland, and looks sure to go well. Pylonthepressure trounced the useful Space Cadet on his most recent outings, and could be a value option, along with stable companion Livelovelaugh.

Vigil, trained by Dermot Weld, was fifth last year, but claimed a notable scalp on his return, and is sure to be primed for this. Gordon Elliott has had a tremendous season with his bumper horses, and his two entries, Jetstream Jack and General Principle, merit consideration.

Best of the Irish: Bordini

Alternative: Jetstream Jack
