The daughter of Verglas produced a career best effort at Naas nine days ago and, if stripping in the same shape, will now prove hard to beat. That Naas race was a Listed event and the selection emerged with great credit, given how badly drawn she was.
Slipper Orchid came out of stall 13, in a 14-runner affair, and was always fighting a losing battle.
She was soon shuffled back through the field, as those on her inside forged on, and was last approaching the turn in.
