Stars So Bright out to book place in 1000 Guineas

Stars So Bright gets the chance to build on the abundant promise of her successful Dundalk debut when she steps up in class for tomorrow’s Derrinstown Stud 1000 Guineas Trial at Leopardstown.

A daughter of trainer John Oxx’s brilliant colt Sea The Stars, the three-year-old was unraced as a juvenile but looked an exciting prospect when showing a thrilling turn of foot on the all-weather a little over three weeks ago.

She tests the water at Group Three level this weekend as she switches to the turf, and Oxx is hoping conditions at the Foxrock track are not too testing.
