1000 Guineas goal for My Titania

My Titania will bid to emulate her illustrious father Sea The Stars by making a winning three-year-old debut in Classic company in the Qipco 1000 Guineas at Newmarket on May 4.

1000 Guineas goal for My Titania

Sea The Stars won the 2000 Guineas to register the first of his six Group One successes during an incredible unbeaten campaign in 2009.

He went on to confirm himself one of the greats with subsequent victories in the Epsom Derby and the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.

My Titania clearly has a long way to go before reaching those heights, but looked the part in winning two of her three starts as a juvenile, culminating in victory in the CL Weld Park Stakes at the Curragh at the end of September.

Oxx said: “She’s in good shape, working nicely and looks great in her coat.

“She’s fairly forward and quite fit for the time of year, so we’re pleased.

“The plan is to run her in the Guineas first time out as there isn’t really a trial that is suitable for her.

“It will be a huge step up and we won’t know if she’s equal to the task until the day, but we’re pleased with her at home.

“You usually get a sound surface at Newmarket, which would suit her as she is a filly who loves fast ground.

“She’s made good physical progress, normal progress, and we’ve had a good run with her up to now.”
