Portrait of a Lady Rider

This poster of leading lady rider Katie Walsh, taken by Spencer Murphy and used in a TV campaign to promote the Aintree Grand National, has been short-listed for one of the UK's leading portrait prizes.

Her portrait, used in Channel 4’s Grand National poster campaign, is now one of four contenders for this year’s prestigious Taylor Wessing photographic portrait prize.

Photographer Murphy said he wanted to capture the guts and determination of the Irish jump jockey who has captured the imagination of racing fans around the world.
