Dank enjoys dream run en route to Kilboy success

Former British champion Ryan Moore’s trip to the Curragh proved worthwhile yesterday when Dank, trained by Michael Stoute, proved an emphatic winner of the Group 2 Kilboy Estates Stakes.

Sent off 5/4 favourite, the four-year-old daughter of Dansili — third to Duntle in the Duke Of Cambridge Stakes at Royal Ascot last time — enjoyed a dream run through the race, tracking the leaders on the inside as What Style dictated the pace.

Moore eased off the rail approaching the two-furlong pole and, when Dank was asked for her effort, she soon quickened into the lead. Pushed out, she kept going strongly to beat Say by a length and three-quarters with Caponata getting up to snatch third spot.
