Casting Shadows looks the percentage bet

If Dessie Hughes’ Chasing Shadows puts her best foot forward then she can land the nap in today’s Slievenamon Beginners Chase at Clonmel.

The seven-year-old is a long way removed from being the most consistent horse in training, but a reproduction of her latest effort at Thurles will surely be good enough. Jumping for fun, Chasing Shadows stepped well up on two previous efforts to finish a length and a half second behind Carrig Millie.

She ran near the front throughout and dropping back two furlongs in trip now should work in her favour.
