Rely on Rapid

Jim Bolger’s Rapid Approach gets the vote in the opening Irish Stallion Farms’ EBF Maiden at Dundalk tonight.

It has been a case of steady improvement for the New Approach colt and he looks good enough to deliver, even if six furlongs is a trifle on the short side for him. His latest of three outings came over a mile on this track last month when going down by a length and a quarter to Levanto.

That Willie Mullins-trained filly went off a well-backed favourite and the form appears reasonably solid.
